FACILITY

NorthEast Bioanalytical Laboratories is a state-of-the-art facility equipped with four API LC/MS/MS systems and Analyst software for data acquisition, processing and reporting.  The LC/MS/MS systems are set up with dual column capabilities and dual micro gradient HPLC systems equipped with UV and fluorometric detectors that are integrated with the TurboChrom data system for data acquisition and processing.

Other supporting instrumentation includes TurboVaps, Tomtec handlers for automated sample processing, backup generators, pH meters, balances, centrifuges, rotators, plate readers, micropipettes, a water system, refrigerators and freezers, etc.  Sample preparation techniques include protein precipitation, liquid/liquid extractions, solid phase extractions, derivatizations, enzymatic hydrolysis, etc., or a combination of techniques, when necessary.

Required maintenance and calibration is performed on a regular basis to maintain the integrity of our work.  Instrumentation and sample handling systems are in place for high volume throughput to minimize study backlogs (e.g., SPE procedures).  Column switching and other techniques provide quick turnaround for large sample batches.
