Abhay Pandey

Abhay Pandey is VP of Business and Corporate Development at NorthEast BioLab. He architects and executes our sales and marketing, strategic investment, and resource management efforts. Abhay has 20+ years of diverse experience in entrepreneurial business development, capital investment, and project management.

Over the past six years, he has developed deep expertise in bioassay troubleshooting and performance by reviewing hundreds of proprietary/commercial bioanalytical assay supplies, protocols, run data, and literary research alongside our deep bench of veteran bioanalytical experts.

Before joining NorthEast BioLab, he served as Sr. Manager of Corporate Development at Verizon, where he sourced and executed mergers & acquisitions, investment, divestiture, and joint venture opportunities. Prior to Verizon, Abhay served as an investment banking associate at Lazard’s middle market advisory group in New York City. At Lazard, Abhay advised clients on strategic alternatives, including outright company sale or majority equity investments. Previously, Abhay spent several years as a sales and marketing consultant at ZS Associates, a management consultancy headquartered in Evanston, IL that provides services primarily to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare sectors.

Abhay received a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, and a Bachelor’s in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He enjoys participating in adventure sports and cooking North Indian and multi-cultural fusion cuisines in his free time.
