Ron Mays

Ron Mays, Laboratory Director at NorthEast BioLab, is a distinguished separation technology science expert with a wealth of experience in the laboratory. He possesses an extensive understanding of federal regulation guidelines, including GLP/GCP sample analysis, and has directly collaborated with the FDA during facility audits.

At NorthEast BioLab, Mr. Mays oversees all activities pertaining to bioanalysis, sample management, and regulatory compliance. He conducts internal audits of clinical and method reports and diligently reviews external audit findings to implement necessary corrective actions. Furthermore, he is accountable for the development and validation of extraction methods for a diverse variety of compounds from biological matrices in full compliance with FDA guidelines.

Prior to joining NorthEast BioLab, Mr. Mays held the position of Sr. Associate Research Scientist at Bayer Pharmaceuticals. Earlier in his career, he spent six years as a Senior Analytical Technician at Ciba-Geigy. Mr. Mays earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Charter Oak State College, New Britain, and an associate’s degree in chemistry from Hartford State Technical College.
